Vital Records

The Town Clerk files and maintains all birth, death and marriage records. The Town Clerk is authorized to issue certified copies of these records. Birth records are ONLY available if your parents were living in Spencer at the time of your birth, or if you were actually born in Spencer. ALL birth records are recorded in the city/town where the birth actually took place (i.e. the town/city hospital where the birth took place). Death records will be on file if the deceased was a resident of Spencer at the time of his/her death or if the death took place within the Town of Spencer. Marriage records will be on file if the couple applied for their marriage license with the Spencer Town Clerk.
