Transfer Station Compost Area Drop-off Procedures

Due to repeated abuses of the compost area by persons not following the long standing Transfer Station Rules and Regulations allowing only grass and leaves for drop off at the transfer station compost area we must require that all such drop offs be inspected by the Transfer Station attendant prior to unloading. Unless a designated attendant is present at the compost area every person wanting to make a drop-off to the composting area must follow the following procedures:

 Anyone wishing to use the compost area must have a valid transfer station sticker permanently affixed to the windshield exterior on the lower driver’s side corner.

 Drive up to the transfer station hopper to have the load inspected and to obtain the key for the compost area gate.

 Each person must sign for the key with their name and license plate registration number.

 After completing your mulch area drop off each person must lock the gate upon leaving and return the key to the transfer station attendant.

 Do NOT pass the key on to anyone else. Once you sign for the key you will be held fully responsible for replacement if the key is not returned by you.
