EPA Brownfields Clean Up Grant

The Town of Spencer, MA is seeking public comment on the Draft FY24 Application to Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Brownfields Cleanup Grant. The Town of Spencer is applying for an EPA Cleanup Grant to request funding for the remedial activities for the former Lake Street School located at 17 Lake Street, Spencer MA. As part of the application process, The Town of Spencer will host a meeting to solicit public input on October 26, 2023, 7:00 PM at Spencer Town Hall, Conference Room A, 157 Main Street, Spencer MA.

During the meeting, the Town of Spencer will discuss the draft application and respond to public comments. A copy of the draft application and draft Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) will be available for review at the Spencer Town Administrator’s Office or online at https://www.spencerma.gov/home/news/epa-brownfields-clean-grant. Public comments can also be received via email at JBridges@SpencerMA.gov  by November 10, 2023.
