Trustees’ Meeting

January 10, 2022

*MEETING WAS HELD VIRTUALLY

Meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m.

Mary Anne motioned to approve the minutes from December 13th meeting. Alyson seconded. Motion approved.

Children’s Room:

*Community Connections provided kits for January.

*We continue to give away our own kits for toddler/PK, K-5 and teens.

*Waiting to hear back from local cultural council on status of grants we applied for.

*Amy has created a virtual scavenger hunt for patrons.

*Drop in activities are available for all ages in the children’s room.

Director’s Report:

*Meditation program with Wendy O’Leary is held remotely on Tuesday mornings.

*Adult book group held virtually on December 14th.

*Grab and Go kits for adults distributed in January and February.

*On December 21st, in celebration of the winter solstice, 60 decorated votives were placed alit in front of the library.

*Cheryl attended a CWMARS Zoom meeting on 12/16.

*Cheryl prepared 2023 budget documents, capital requests and annual statements.

*Library was closed on 12-23.

*Mini free library decorated and on display to promote spring 2022 literacy initiative.

* New town administrator, Jeff Bridges, toured the library on January 3rd. Discussed reopening on Saturdays in the future (2023).

*Library page, Sam, worked 10 hours during winter break to assist with collection management and other duties.

Updates to Building Concerns:

*Bill Cundiff sent HVAC project out to bid.  Sub bids are due by January 27th and general bids are due by February 10th.

Next Meeting: Tuesday, February 15th at 4:30. Note: meetings have been changed to 2nd Tuesday of the month.
