In Attendance:

Meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.

Mary Anne made a motion to approve minutes from last meeting.  Alyson seconded. Motion approved.

Board scored the 4 design teams for the envelope study.  Results will be presented to Jeff Bridges, Town Admin.  
(Note: On June 22nd the 4 architectural firms were interviewed by the board.)

Children’s Room:

*Community Connections held programs with us in June and July.

*Drop-in activities continue in children’s dept. 

*We Read It newsletter goes out monthly.

*Monthly grab and go kits are available each month.

*25 kids from the AlphaBest Education Program joined us for a program (age 5-12).

*Katie attended School Library Journal’s Day on May 19th, Youth Services Chat on June 13th, Small Libraries Chat on June 14th and Advisory Meeting for Community Connections on June 14th.

*Purchased materials/hand-outs for The Big Truck Day.

*Summer reading flyers were sent home to Wire Village and Knox Trail students.

Director’s Report:

*Pause meditation program is held Tuesdays with Wendy O’Leary.

*Cheryl visited the Senior Center on May 26th.

*The library partnered with Council on Aging/Senior Center on an Alzheimer’s awareness presentation displayed for the month of June.

*Cheryl participated in ARIS report training on June 13th.

*Denise and L. Allington toured Optima distribution center on June 8th to see interlibrary loan delivery service operations.

*Denise conducted book group via Zoom on June 11th

*Cheryl attended department head meeting on June 21st.

*Cheryl and Denise attended picnic at senior center on June 21st.

*Cheryl attended town meeting on June 23rd.

*Cheryl attended MBLC state aid overview on July 7th.

*Cheryl visited Camp Marshall on June 29th and distributed free books to campers.

*June 14th first mini free library was dedicated at DPHS.  Second opened at Powder Mill Park in mid June.

*Fiona Hallaran has returned as a summer intern.

*Elevator passed inspection on May 31st.

*MPC is scheduled to perform repairs to heating system as well as preparing a/c units for the summer.

*Three minors were involved in a window break incident at 6:45 p.m. on July 5th.  Police were called and minors were found.  No charges were filed.  The town will submit an insurance claim for replacement costs.

Updates to Building Concerns: 
*Security camera and better outdoor lighting is needed.
