Trustees’ Report
November 8, 2022
In Attendance:
Cheryl Donahue, Director

Meeting was called to order at 12:30 p.m.
Mary Anne made a motion to approve minutes from last meeting. Alyson seconded. Motion approved.
Children’s Room:
*Community Connections held programs with us in October. We will continue to be on their weekly schedule moving forward.
*We have a fall centerpiece raffle for the patrons to enter to win.
*Drop-in activities continue in children’s dept.
*We Read It newsletter goes out monthly.
*We had a STEAM survival challenge, simply stories, make it with Lego and Pokemon club for grades k-8. We will be starting an art club for middle school. Graphic Novel Program may be added.
*Katie applied for three grants and wrote three letters of support for summer programming opportunities. Mid-January is when awards are granted.
*Katie attended Youth Services Chat on October 6th.
*Katie will be training the new hires at the end of the month.
Director’s Report:
*Pause meditation program is held Tuesdays with Wendy O’Leary.
*Metal jewelry making program with P. Mayotte was held on October 19th.
*Book discussion book group was held on October 25th.
*Denise visited Prouty Senior Living and Lincoln Hill Manor for outreach programs.
*Cheryl participated in a virtual CMLA meeting on October 20th.
*Cheryl attended CMLA trivia night in Westminster on October 20th.
* Library Assoc. position interviews took place on October 3rd and 4th. Karin Davey, Aimee Jones and Fiona Halloran are the new Library Assoc. Saturday staffing begins on December 3rd. New staff training is scheduled for November.
Meeting ended with discussion about security concerns. Need for security cameras and better lighting were discussed.
Meeting adjourned at 1:30.
