Trustees’ Report
January 10, 2023

Meeting was called to order at 12:28 p.m.
Mary Anne made a motion to approve minutes from last meeting. Alyson seconded. Motion approved.
Children’s Room:
*Community Connections held programs with us in December. We will continue to be on their weekly schedule moving forward.
*Giggles and Grove Program (with Miss Patty from Community Connections) will be held on Tuesdays.
*Drop-in activities continue in children’s dept.
*We Read It newsletter goes out monthly.
*Grab and Go giveaways are available each month for patrons.
*Baby doll raffle was held for the month of January.
*We had a STEAM survival challenge, make it with Lego and Pokemon club, Art club, Graphic Novel Book Club and Tinker Time.
*We had a holiday centerpiece program in December.
*We will be running a Dungeons and Dragons program in February called Honey Heist.
*The art teacher from Knox Trail displayed students’ artwork in the library. On December 15th, Knox Trail students celebrated with an art opening and refreshments.
Director’s Report:
*Pause meditation program is held Tuesdays with Wendy O’Leary.
*Denise visited Prouty Senior Living and Lincoln Hill Manor for outreach programs. She also delivered books to patrons unable to visit the library.
*Cheryl attended a Dept. Head meeting on January 10th.
*Luminaries decorated by local families were displayed and lit on December 21st.
*Book discussions were held on December 14th and 27th.
*Spencer Celebration Committee donated holiday decorations for the library doors and fireplace mantle.
*Envelope study commenced on December 8th with a site visit from LiRo Corp. Additional study using drone was completed on December 13th. Fire Dept. aided LiRo with bucket-ladder on December 8th and roof study on December 29th with roofing consultant returning for interior study on January 4th.
Meeting adjourned at 1:30.
