Master Plan Vision Statement - 2024

The following Vision Statements were adopted by the Master Plan Advisory Committee for the 2024 Master Plan. 

1. Creating an accessible, vibrant town center by improving its overall aesthetic while protecting and reusing its historic architecture. 
2. Supporting and investing in local businesses, and creating vibrant business districts with services, amenities, resources, and work opportunities. 
3. Becoming a family-friendly environment where residents can safely access services, amenities, and resources within walking or biking distance. 
4. Preserving its rural character by respecting and honoring its past while supporting the stewardship of its historic resources. 
5. Prioritizing the protection of its natural beauty and wildlife while creating access to open space.
6. Being a town with an engaged citizenry that values public service and freedom and works alongside a well-resourced and responsive government to improve the community.
